PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator capable of preventing a motor from non-operation due to wear powder of a transmission mechanism. SOLUTION: The actuator 1 has a structure in which at least an electric motor 3, a transmission mechanism 4 interlocked with a rotating shaft 17 of the electric motor 3 are provided in a casing 2; and an output shaft 47 is rotatably provided in the casing unit 2. The actuator 1 transmits the rotating force of the electric motor 3 to the output shaft 47 via the transmission mechanism 4. The casing unit 2 is provided with a base plate 8 for partitioning the inside of the casing unit 2 into a motor chamber 86 for housing the electric motor 3 and a gear chamber 43 for housing the transmission mechanism 4.
