The structure (1) has a bulkhead that runs along a vehicle transverse direction and arranged between a passenger compartment and a rear compartment i.e. engine compartment. A cross beam (2) is arranged under the rear compartment, and includes an integrated flange (4) turned towards the bulkhead. The beam is connected with an appropriate flange of the bulkhead. The beam is made by an open light alloy pressure die casting on one side, and the bulkhead is made from a light metal sheet including aluminum. The beam is provided with reinforcement contours (6) i.e. reinforcement ribs.
