<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver appropriate for reducing interruption of a playback program with a frequency search in spite of a simple configuration that does not require a plurality of systems of reception circuits for performing a series of processing from reception of a broadcast radio wave to decoding of a reception signal. <P>SOLUTION: A broadcast receiver is provided which includes: a plurality of receiving means each for receiving a broadcast signal; a boundary area determining means for determining whether or not a mobile is positioned in an area near a boundary of broadcast enabled ranges for a plurality of radio towers; and a combination diversity control means which causes the plurality of receiving means to receive at least two kinds of broadcast signals at different transmission frequencies transmitted from the plurality of radio wave towers if the boundary area determining means determines that the mobile is positioned in the area, mixes at least the received broadcast signals at two kinds of different frequencies and performs combination diversity processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
