A solar cell pre-lamination assembly comprises: a terionomer multilayer film or sheet and a solar cell component formed of several of electronically interconnected solar cells. The terionomer multilayer film or sheet comprises a first surface sub-layer, second surface sub-layer and optionally at least one inner sub-layer sandwiched between the first and second surface sub-layers. The first surface sub-layer comprises terionomer. The second surface sub-layer and/or at least one of the optional inner sub-layer (s) comprise a high melting point polymer.
