<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball game machine capable of providing a player with a novel game feeling. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Though the probability of drawing a "big win" triggered by a ball entry in an operation-start gate 18 and a side operation-start winning hole 40A is defined higher than the probability of drawing a "big win" triggered by a ball entry in a central operation-start winning hole 14, the side operation-start winning hole 40A is regularly retained in a detection regulation state in which game ball detection is regulated. When the central operation-start winning hole 14 detects the game ball, the side operation-start winning hole 40A determines whether or not to switch it into a detection permission state in which the game ball detection is permitted.
