PURPOSE: A display apparatus and a method for displaying the same are provided to prevent the occurrence of a moving picture blur phenomenon and a ghost phenomenon due to overshooting by compensating a waveform for generating the moving picture blur phenomenon. CONSTITUTION: A serial of frames are displayed on a liquid crystal panel(350). In a control unit(310), an output value for reaching a current frame value and a compensated value for maintaining the current value using a previous frame value and the current frame value are calculated. The output value is output on the liquid crystal panel. The compensated value is reflected as a previous value in a subsequent frame. A frame memory(340) stores the previous frame value.
