<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch pad using resistant conductive string and an input unit having the same with which a user can simply make input through a cloth without using an extra mouse even in an environment in which it is difficult to use the mouse. <P>SOLUTION: The touch pad using the resistant conductive string and the input unit using the same can be used for controlling a personal terminal like a computer by using the resistant conductive string to detect a human finger touch and a motion after the finger touch and using a signal by the detected motion to receive an input made by the user without preparing an input unit such as the extra mouse. The touch pad includes the resistant conductive string which changes resistance by a change of a length generated by body contact, a plurality of motion detectors each of which has a signal generator for outputting a signal responding to the change of resistance by the change of the length of the resistant conductive string, and a signal analyzer for generating a motion signal which shows the motion of the body contact by analyzing the signal responding to the change of the resistance outputted from each of a plurality of the motion detectors. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
