Ž<P>SOLUTION: In such an optical disk device that a plurality of light beams are projected to an optical disk in which an information track is formed in almost concentric circle state or a spiral state, at least two light beams out of a plurality of optical beams are arranged so as to be separated respectively in the peripheral direction of the optical disk, reflected light of a plurality of light beams from the optical disk are received respectively by a photodetector divided into a plurality of light receiving regions, and position error of a converging point of the optical beam for the information track is detected from mutual light quantity difference of divided region; amplitude of the track position error signal is adjusted so that the minimum value of width of an envelope of the track position error signal in a fixed period previously decided reaches a target value previously set.
