<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress heat dispersion from a pressure roller toward a support member. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A fixing device includes the pressure roller for pressing a printing medium against a heated heating member, configured to fix a developer image formed on the printing medium. The fixing device includes: the support member that comes in contact with the center shaft of the pressure roller in at least two contact areas so as to support the center shaft; and a biasing member for biasing the support member so as to bring the pressure roller supported by the support member into press contact with the heating member, wherein a gap is formed between the contact areas.
