The driver's cabin of a motor vehicle is secured to the frame of the vehicle at two points c, c near the centre of gravity, and at two points b, b to the rear of the said centre only. A progressive shock absorber 4, 4 is fitted to the front of the cabin and/or frame. This may be a rubber cushion or a metal spring.
