The method involves adjusting light distribution (L1, L2) of a headlamp (1.1, 1.2) such that an optical axis of the light distribution is aligned to an object (01) i.e. animal, that is recognized as a danger point. A light source of the headlamp formed of multiple LED's is automatically activated, in the context of a light function for production of light distribution aligned to the object. The light function is manually activated or deactivated based on control elements (1.5) e.g. pushbuttons. Brightness of the light distribution is adjusted based on pulse-width modulation of the light. An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling a driving light of a vehicle.
