The refrigerator (1) has a liquefier (4) arranged at the outer side of the refrigerator. Heat reservoir elements (7a,7b) are thermally coupled with the liquefier as installation- or mounting-element. The heat reservoir elements are formed with a mounting device or stiffening unit for stiffening the heat reservoir elements. A strip-shaped stiffening element is provided as a mounting device for the heat reservoir elements. The heat reservoir elements are formed from a metal or metal composite foil, particularly an aluminum-laminated foil or from a plastic foil. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for mounting a heat reservoir element in a mounting space of a liquefier of the refrigerator; and (2) a method for manufacturing a heat reservoir element to increase the heat capacity of the liquefier of the refrigerator.
