<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for an electric motor capable of preventing improper control of the electric motor. <P>SOLUTION: The controller 10 of the electric motor includes: an abnormality detecting section 26 for determining that a DC side current sensor 31 is normal when all the transistors of a bridge circuit 13a are off and the number of rotations of the motor 11 is zero and when a DC side current detected by the DC side current sensor 31 is zero, and determining that the DC side current sensor 31 is abnormal when the DC side current is not zero. When the DC side current detected by the DC side current sensor 31 at a time when a command voltage vector is a zero vector of a basic voltage vector is not zero when the motor 11 is driven, the abnormality detecting section 26 detects that either a high transistor or a low transistor configuring the bridge circuit 13a is abnormal in accordance with a conduction pattern of the bridge circuit 13a corresponding to the zero voltage vector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
