<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack mount system that facilitates design of a distribution board by implementing flexible power supply even if a required power value is exceeded in a structure using a plurality of rack apparatus, a rack apparatus for use therein, and a method of controlling a rack mount system. <P>SOLUTION: The power consumption of each rack apparatus 10 is controlled (capped) within power available to the rack apparatus 10. When the power consumption of each rack apparatus 10 exceeds the available power, the use of part of computer devices 100 is stopped.
