PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavating machine and an excavation method for a ground, which can secure a transfer space of excavated earth and sand and which therefore make possible easy transfer of the earth and sand. SOLUTION: The excavating machine 1 includes an open-type propulsive box body 2 which is buried in the ground while being driven by a drive jack in the ground. A support frame 3 is provided upright inside the open-type propulsive box body 2, and excavation heavy equipment 4 is provided on the support frame 3. A Schaeff loader 5 is provided in the lower position of the support frame 3. Then the excavation of a working face is performed by the excavation heavy equipment 4, and the fallen earth and sand is collected by the Schaeff loader 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
