<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an RE123 superconductive thin film wire rod capable of restraining generation of BaCeO<SB>3</SB>and having a high critical current value. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the RE123 superconductive thin film wire rod has a precursor formation process of forming a precursor wire rod by applying a raw material to a base material, and a thin film formation process of applying heat treatment on the precursor wire rod and forming an RE123 superconductive thin film.
