摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a wireless transmission distance of an image signal without impairing portability nor increasing manufacturing cost. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In using the electronic endoscope 10, a wireless antenna 11 is fitted to one of two ventilation connectors 16 to turn on a power supply. When the power supply is turned on, an insert part 12 is inserted into a body cavity, and an observing region is imaged by a CCD, an image signal is transmitted through the wireless antenna 11 to a processor. An image picked up by the CCD is displayed on a monitor of the processor. When the use of the electronic antenna 10 is ended, the wireless antenna 11 is removed from a ventilation connector 16.
