PURPOSE: A scanline based rendering method in a vector graphic technology and a device using the same are provided to prepare active edge tables according to each scan line, thereby simultaneously detecting edges for all scanlines of each path. CONSTITUTION: Edges about each path configuring a vector graphic image are generated(S300). Active edge tables are generated according to each scanline to include one edge information in active edge tables(S310). One or more scanlines are scanned by referring to the active edge tables at the same time(S320). Memory areas of a fixed size for storing the active edge tables are assigned to each scanline in advance(S330).
