PURPOSE: An address registration system and a method thereof for efficiently and rapidly updating a mail address database are provided to minimize error generated in an address input process and rapidly update new addresses to mail address database. CONSTITUTION: An address dictionary(110) stores a delivery code according to each address. An address searcher(130) refers to the delivery codes mapped in the first address and the second address. The address searcher inspects the validity of the second address and the first address. A candidate address register(140) compares the first address and the second address. The candidate host minor directory registers the second address as the candidate.
