<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device of efficiently using illumination light emitted from the light source device of the illumination device, and to provide a microscope device having the illumination device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The illumination device 1 includes: the light source device 10 emitting the illumination light for illuminating a sample; a condenser lens 24 condensing the illumination light on the sample; and an objective lens 28 condensing light from the sample and forming the image of the sample. The light source device includes an optical member 10 for emitting the illumination light whose light distribution characteristic is different according to a position from an optical axis, in the pupil position of the objective lens.
