The connector (1) has a pot-shaped isolation housing lower part (2) and an isolation housing upper part (3) that are made of thermoplastic elastomer or rubber. A housing gap forms the lower part, where side surfaces of the lower part are kept separate from a plug retainer for plugs (24). Housing-connecting elements i.e. bolt connections, of the parts are centrally arranged. A strain relief assembly has an outer contour that is formed complementary to an internal contour of the parts so that the assembly is form-fitted into the parts in a screwless manner.
