The braid core (10) is made of two shells (12-1,12-2), where a connection element (14-1,14-2,14-3) is arranged in a hollow chamber of the braid core. The connection element is connected with the shell, where an end piece (16-1,16-2) is arranged at a longitudinal end of the braid core. The end piece has a section projecting in the hollow chamber of the braid core. The end piece has another section which is placed outside the hollow chamber of the braid core. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a composite fiber semi-finished product by round wickerwork technique.
