PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker 100 for germinating brown rice or unpolished rice by emitting light without considering heating time setting and temperature setting in the process of germination. SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes: a pot 2 for storing an object to be cooked including water and the brown rice or unpolished rice; a rice cooker body 3 having a storage portion 31 to removably store the pot 2, and a heating portion 32 for heating the object to be cooked in the pot; a lid body 4 arranged in the rice cooker body 3 so as to clog the opening 2a of the pot 2; and a light emitting portion 5 for radiating the light for germination to germinate the brown rice or unpolished rice in the pot 2 from the lid body 4.
