METHOD FOR PRE-TREATING SAMPLE CONTAINING GLYCOSYLATED HEMOGLOBIN

Disclosed is a means for pre-treating a sample containing a glycosylated hemoglobin, which is convenient, is free from problems in storage stability and environmental problems, and enables the sufficient exposure of an epitope of the glycosylated hemoglobin within a short time.  Also disclosed is an immunoassay method for a glycosylated hemoglobin, which utilizes the means. Specifically disclosed is a method for pre-treating a sample containing a glycosylated hemoglobin, wherein the sample is intended to be used in an immunoassay for the glycosylated hemoglobin.  The method is characterized by treating the sample with a pre-treatment solution comprising (A) guanidine or a salt thereof and (B) a nonionic surfactant and/or a nitrite salt.
