PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polishing method capable of efficiently smoothing a surface part and a cutout part inner surface to a high grade, by deburring and rounding a relatively small work having a cutout part, by using a fluid type barrel polishing device. SOLUTION: The work (a workpiece) having the cutout part and media (a polishing material), are inputted inside a polishing tank 1 having a rotary disk 2 in a bottom part, to perform fluid barrel polishing while controlling a flow of mass lifting along an inner wall 13 of the polishing tank 1 by forming the mass by revolving and flowing by rotation of the rotary disk 2. Fluid control of the mass can be performed by rotation control of a movable member 3 or the rotary disk 3 for covering an upper surface of the mass.
