The device (1) has a support unit i.e. rear plate (3) of a chip card and another support unit i.e. front plate (4) respectively supporting against main surfaces of the card when the plates are in functional connection position. The units possess locked position (Ps) and a deployed position. The support units are flatly locked and are parallel to each other in their locked position. The units form a pocket comprising an elastic deformable material such as leather, elastomer, plastic and elastic fabric. An elastic return unit (13) returns one of the support units towards the locked position.
