#CMT# #/CMT# The system has a permeable or semi-permeable membrane (50) placed between spacers (20, 30) in form of rings, where the spacers comprise four traversing and axial holes (21-24, 31-34). An assembly of the spacers and the membrane form a volume (35) for receiving liquid to be processed and another volume (25) for receiving liquid ultrafiltrate traversing the membrane. The assembly formed by alignment of the holes forms two supply channels (60, 64) for the volumes, a concentrate evacuation channel (63) and ultrafiltrate evacuation channels (65, 66). #CMT# : #/CMT# The volumes contain incompressible porous material such as ion-exchange resin. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Reverse osmosis filtration system for liquid i.e. salt water. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The configuration of the system improves efficiency of the system and increases an effective membrane surface by operating multiple stages, so that the system is simple in structure while conserving compact construction. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a perspective view of a reverse osmosis liquid filtration system. 20, 30 : Spacers 21-24, 31-34 : Traversing and axial holes 25, 35 : Volumes 50 : Permeable or semi-permeable membrane 60, 64 : Supply channels 63 : Concentrate evacuation channel 65, 66 : Ultrafiltrate evacuation channels. |
