PURPOSE: A bloom of high carbon steel wire rod for wire drawing with superior internal quality and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent disconnection due to surface defect during wire drawing by minimizing blisters in the inner superficial layer. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a bloom of high carbon steel wire rod comprises the steps of: retaining a superheat temperature of 15~35°C compared to theoretical congelation temperature, carrying out continuous casting at 0.4~0.7 m/min, and blowing tundish stopper Ar gas flow at 3.0~5.0 1 min.
