PHOTONIC CRYSTAL WAVEDUIDE INLET STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: A photonic crystal waveguide incidence unit structure is provided to help efficient mode conversion generation between a strip waveguide and a photonic crystal waveguide. CONSTITUTION: A photonic crystal waveguide(12) includes a photonic crystal(11) and hybrid waveguides(7, 8). The photonic crystal arranges an air hole to a triangular lattice form within a dielectric material. The hybrid waveguides eliminate one or more air holes and is formed with separating each other. Accordingly the incident area of the photonic crystal waveguide is separated with the strip waveguide.
