The method involves utilizing chemical products, and co-operating the chemical products together to form new base products whose characteristics form an insulation/protective coating (1), where the base products are polyhydric alcohol and isocyanate. The insulation/protective coating is formed to insulate and/or protect rails and railway installations against stray currents. The base products are mixed together according to a ratio ranging from one percent to ninety nine percent. The basic products are maintained at ambient temperature ranging from zero degree to hundred degrees.
