<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preparing a catalyst capable of producing with a high yield metharolein and methacrylic acid from isobutylene or tertiary butanol. <P>SOLUTION: The method of preparing the catalyst containing at least molybdenum, iron, bismuth and cobalt for producing metharolein and methacrylic acid from isobutylene or tertiary butanol comprises preparing a mixed solution by mixing water with at least each total or portion of catalyst raw materials of a molybdenum ingredient, an iron ingredient, and a cobalt ingredient, and thereafter mixing the mixed solution with the rest of the catalyst ingredients. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
