<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute calibration for compensating for the deterioration due to aging of the output capability, in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The calibration device includes: an output value measuring means 22 for measuring the actual output value of an output image; a first normalizing means 23 and a second normalizing means 24 for normalizing the measured output value and the desired output value; a first correction table generation means 25 and a second correction table generation means 26 for generating a correction table A and a correction table B so that the measured output value after normalization matches with or approaches the desired output value or the characteristics; a hybrid correction table generation means 27 for generating a correction table C, by configuring the correction table A and the correction table B, on the basis of a prescribed ratio; a density characteristic extraction means 28 for extracting the density characteristics of an output object image; and a correction ratio setting means 29 for setting the configuration ratio, according to the density characteristics. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
