PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust removal device capable of removing problematic dust on an image sensor in an apparatus such as a digital camera wherein dust removal operation utilizes power supply or a drive force required for the original operation of the apparatus. SOLUTION: The dust removal device includes the image sensor, a fluid outlet for removing dust on the image sensor, a pump for sending fluid to the outlet, and a linking mechanism for operating the pump according to the movement of the other mechanism.
