<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion resin composition for dispersing polarizing particles, from which a suspended particle device (SPD) excellent in heat resistance can be obtained, the device showing little decrease in the contrast even when used at a high temperature for a long time, and to provide a curable composition containing the above dispersion resin composition and giving an SPD with little decrease in the heat resistance of contrast, and to provide a film for the SPD. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The dispersion resin composition for suspended particle device comprises a copolymer (X) of an ester (A) of an 8-18C monoalcohol and a (meth)acrylic acid and (B) a polymerizable monomer having a methacryloyl group and logP ranging from -5 to 0. The curable composition for a suspended particle device contains a silicone resin having a (meth)acryloyl group, polarizing particles and the above dispersion resin composition for a suspended particle device. The film for the suspended particle device uses the above dispersion resin composition for a suspended particle device or the curable composition for a suspended particle device.
