<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image capturing apparatus capable of preventing electric power from being supplied from an electric power source to the device by a malfunction of an electric power source switch. <P>SOLUTION: This image capturing apparatus 1 includes a battery 20, a control unit 10 for receiving the electric power supplied from the battery 20, a detection unit 102 for detecting opened and closed states of a battery lid provided in an insertion port of a battery storage unit for storing the battery 20, and for stopping the electric power supply from the battery 20, when detecting the opened state, and a state switching unit 18 for detecting the opened state of the battery lid by the detection unit 102, under the closed state of the battery lid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
