PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily grasp a function which is achievable by an application.

SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus 100 includes: a display control unit 152 that displays a list screen of thumbnails associated with content; an execution unit 154 that executes an arbitrary application using the content associated with the thumbnails; and an image generation unit 156 that generates an execution state image showing an execution state of the application by the execution unit 154, wherein the display control unit 152 displays the execution state image generated by the image generation unit 156 in at least a portion of an area where the list screen is displayed.
