PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device for vehicle, capable of accurately performing input operation to an operation part, attaining both safe driving and convenience. SOLUTION: The input device for vehicle includes: a display part 2, installed at a position which is at least viewable from an occupant on a driver's seat 4; the operation part 7, which is associated with the display content of the display part 2 and to the operation part 7 the driver performs the input operation; an effective field of view detecting section 10e detecting the effective field of view of the driver; a vehicle speed detecting part 10g detecting the vehicle speed; and a control part 10 provided communicable with the display part 2, the operation part 7, the effective field of view detection part 10e, and the vehicle speed detection part 10g, and controlling the effectiveness and the ineffectiveness of the input operations to the operation part 7. The control part 10 invalidates the input operation to the operation part 7, when the vehicle speed detected by the vehicle speed detecting part 10g is not less than a prescribed speed, and when the effective field of view of the driver detected by the effective field of view detecting part 10e overlaps the display part 2 or the operation part 7.
