The device has a piping section (1) with an upper opening (4) for allowing flow of fluid i.e. air, where the piping section is arranged in an installed condition above the roof of a building. A fire protection agent has a locking unit (11) to reduce or prevent fluid flow through the opening in case of fire, where the locking unit partly consists of a non-combustible material. The locking unit is arranged in the installed condition above the opening in a position. The locking unit is transferred from the former position into another position for closing the opening in case of fire.
