PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to remove contaminant on the surface of a heat exchanger by uniformly spraying cleaning water through a discharging unit over the overall area of the heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner comprises a heat exchanger and a cleaning apparatus for cleaning the heat exchanger. The cleaning apparatus comprises: a spray unit(100) which uniformly supplies cleaning water to the width corresponding to the width of the heat exchanger; and a pump unit which compulsively flows the cleaning water to the spray unit. The spray unit comprises a receiving part(110) which stores the cleaning water and a discharging unit which discharges the cleaning water from the receiving part.
