PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device carrying out fixing processing for toner without requiring preheating and preliminary standby when performing an initial operation, and capable of reducing remarkably a cost and a size of the device, and an image forming apparatus equipped therewith. SOLUTION: The fixing device fixes the toner by irradiating an unfixed toner image with a semiconductor laser beam, a semiconductor laser includes two kinds of laser beam irradiation means different in wavelength irradiation ranges, one of the laser beam irradiation means emits the laser beam having a wavelength with an absorptivity getting to 80% or more in cyan toner and with an absorptivity getting to 80% or more in magenta toner, and the other laser beam irradiation means emits the laser beam having a wavelength with an absorptivity getting to 80% or more in yellow toner.
