<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content retrieval device that finds desired content with a fewer operations from among multiple pieces of content listed and presented, and achieving better user's experience, and to provide a method for retrieval of content in the content retrieval device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The device displays a content list in the descending order of total importance of content, which is calculated from a keyword importance 105 included in keyword information 103 registered in a keyword database 102, and a content importance 110 included in content information 107 registered in a content database 106. Thereby, a user can expect that the retrieved content can be listed in order from the content in which the user is interested. Accordingly, the user can find the desired content with a fewer operations and a short time from among the content listed and presented, thereby achieving better user's experience.
