PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology regarding a communication technology using an adaptive array antenna system, having improved communication quality with an communicating opposite device. SOLUTION: In a base station, a weight calculation part 16 calculates weight to an array antenna 13 corresponding to a communication terminal which has transmitted a sounding signal on the basis of the sounding signal received in a radio reception part 11. A weight calculation time acquisition part 17 acquires the weight calculation time which is the time required for calculating the weight in the weight calculation part 16. A transmission part composed of a radio transmission part 12 and a data processing part 14 transmits signals to the communication terminal from the array antenna 13 on the basis of the weight corresponding to the communication terminal. The data processing part 14 determines a time zone to transmit the signals to the communication terminal based on the weight corresponding to the communication terminal on the basis of the weight calculation time for the weight.
