摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a laser beam provided by synthesizing polarized wave without using an expensive FBG for PMF. SOLUTION: A semiconductor laser light source of polarized wave synthetic type 10 includes two GCs 1 and 2, two polarized wave maintaining fibers 3, a polarized wave synthesizer 4 and a single mode fiber 5 in which an FBG 6 is formed. In first and second linear polarized wave light emitted from the GCs 1 and 2, light of predetermined wavelength out of polarized wave synthetic light passing through the two polarized wave maintaining fibers 3 and the polarized wave synthesizer 4 is reflected by the FBG 6 formed in the single mode fiber 5. By repeating light reflection between rear end surfaces (light reflecting films 11) of the GCs 1 and 2 and the FBG 6, two laser beams of the same wavelength having polarized wave direction orthogonal to each other are acquired.
