<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data protection method for performing backup of data and restore of an operating system. <P>SOLUTION: In the data protection method, (a) when a trigger command is received, a hardware control module (1) is set so as to store data in a hidden zone (31) that cannot be identified, read, or written by an operating system block (4) communicating with the hardware control module (1). (b) When a restore request command (22) is received from an input device (2) directly communicating with the hardware control module (1), and when a predefined condition is established, the hardware control module (1) is set so as to execute the restore request command (22) to transmit data from the hidden zone (31) to an operation zone (32) that can be identified, read, and written by the operating system block (4). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
