<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an output using a connected external device in accordance with the connection of the external device to an image forming apparatus without making an operator perform setting. <P>SOLUTION: When the external device is connected to the image forming apparatus 10, the image forming apparatus 10 notifies a server device 20 that the external device is connected. The server device 20 stores the setting of the image forming apparatus when the external device is used, and secures a storage area corresponding to the external device in accordance with the notification. When data are sent from a computer system 30 and the data are stored in the storage area corresponding to the external device, the server device 20 instructs the image forming apparatus 10 to form an image that is indicated by the data with the setting of the image forming apparatus when the external device is used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
