<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet processing apparatus, network equipment, and a packet processing method which can improve the flexibility of a filtering function for packets through hardware. <P>SOLUTION: The packet processing apparatus includes: a static pattern matcher which compares pattern information defining a packet to be filtered with a value, regarding at least a part of a packet, with the pattern information being stored by a pattern information manager; a frequency calculator which calculates the frequency of matching by the static pattern matcher; a dynamic pattern matcher which compares the frequency with a preset comparison value to output the comparison result; and a processing determiner which determines a processing on the packet, based on the comparison result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
