PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive tape or sheet for masking that can be easily peeled off from an adherend while controlling or inhibiting remaining of adhesive deposit even after ageing of the adhered part at an elevated temperature or after being adhered to an adherend whose surface condition is changed by oxidation etc. SOLUTION: The adhesive tape or sheet for masking comprises a base material and a layer of an adhesive agent formed on one side of the base material, and the adhesive agent for forming the layer of an adhesive agent includes an acrylic polymer prepared by emulsion polymerization as a base polymer, and a rate of change of adhesive strength of the adhesive tape or sheet is 150% or less when the tape or sheet is adhered to a stainless (SUS304 BA) plate and heated at 150°C for 1 h.
