<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk actuator for suitably holding a thin signal line in an arm. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A signal line (W) from a magnetic head (H) is held between a damping plate (3) for suppressing vibration of arms (1, 2) and the arms (1, 2). The necessity of disposing grooves in the arms (1, 2) is eliminated, and the necessity of work for setting the signal line (W) in the groove is eliminated. The signal line (W) is fitted in recesses (1a, 2a), and hence the signal line (W) is accurately positioned. The recesses (1a, 2a) are easily formed by scraping the surfaces of the arms (1, 2).
