The present invention shows a method for the keeping constant of a pH of a medical liquid when draining from a container, wherein CO2 and at least one further gas or gas mixture flows into the container during the draining of the medical liquid CO2. The invention furthermore shows an apparatus for the keeping constant of a pH of a medical liquid when draining from a container, wherein the container has an outflow for the medical liquid, at least one inflow for CO2 as well as an inflow for at least one further gas or gas mixture, wherein an electronic control for the determination and automatic supply of a CO2 quantity during the draining of the medical liquid is provided.
