PURPOSE: A plasma display device and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce the radiation density of a unit light by controlling a voltage which is applied to a scan electrode or a constant electrode and reducing the radiation density through a sustain discharge. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display device comprises a plurality of first electrodes and a plurality of second electrodes. A driving method divides a frame into a plurality of sub-fields. A first sub-field has the lowest weight value among the plurality of sub-fields. A first voltage is selectively applied to a plurality of first electrodes during an address period. A second voltage is applied to a first electrode to which a first voltage has not been applied during the address period. The second voltage is higher than the first voltage. A third voltage is applied to the plurality of first electrodes during a first period of a sustain period. The third voltage corresponds to the difference between the second voltage and the first voltage. A fourth voltage is applied to the plurality of second electrodes during the first period. The fourth voltage is lower than the third voltage.
